Speech-Language Pathologist
Makenzie Harrington is a speech-language pathologist at High Point Speech Therapy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies from High Point University in 2022 and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University in 2025.
Makenzie became interested in the field of speech-language pathology after seeing her younger cousin’s speech and language sessions following his autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. She loves building connections with clients and families and celebrating every milestone along the way, big or small. Her professional interests include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), expressive and receptive language delays, and articulation/phonological disorders.
Makenzie hopes every client and family feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their therapy journey. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, listening to music, going to concerts, playing video games, coloring, and spending time with her family and friends.
