Anelise Harris

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Anelise Harris is an SLP-Assistant at High Point Speech Therapy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Appalachian State University in 2024 and completed an internship within the school system to obtain her clinical hours. She is also preparing to begin graduate school to pursue her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology.

Anelise’s passion for speech therapy began from personal experience. As a child, she attended speech therapy for articulation difficulties with her /r/ sounds and remembers the encouragement and support her own speech therapist gave her along the way. That experience inspired her to help children build confidence and feel successful in their communication skills. Because she has been in their shoes, Anelise brings empathy, patience, and understanding to each therapy session.

She loves using a play-based approach to therapy and enjoys creating a safe, supportive environment where children can truly be themselves while growing in confidence and communication. Anelise hopes every client and family feels comfortable, supported, and encouraged through every stage of progress, celebrating both the small wins and the big milestones. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading, shopping, painting with watercolors, and binge-watching new TV shows.
